For a little more money, you can get a true quality battery for your RC plane!Manufacturer: Thunder power Number of Cells: 3 Max Constant Discharge Rate: 33 amps Capacity in mah: 2100 mah Connector used - deans etc: Deans Type - (lipo nimh nicd etc): lipo I was very unhappy with my Apogee batteries and my friends all use Thunder Power, so I decided to buy two of these TP2100 batteries to test them to see if they really did hold up to the reputation that they are held up to. These are fantastic batteries. They put out plenty of power (33amps continuous) and are relatively light for the amount of power that they put out. Not only that, they run cooler than Apogee batteries straight out of the box. They don't require a break in like the apogees and are just overall very reliable. A friend of mine had one of these and in a crash, one of the packs was ruptured, but not exploded. The company happily repaired the battery for a small fee, I think it was 25 bucks. So thats not too bad to get your battery fixed. Most companies would just tell you to go screw. The major downfall with this battery is that the prices tend to be higher than most other companies. However, the chemistry is very good quality. I'd say higher than most other manufacturers. A second downfall is the connector to balance this battery is not compatible with most of the generic balancers. Therefore, you are forced to buy a TP balancer. Overall, I'd recommend this battery. I really like it. As I said I have two of them and have used them extensively. |
