The all new Electrifly 1500 20C Lipo batteries!

Finally I was able to acquire two Great Planes Electrifly 1500mah 20C batteries! These were purchased as a direct replacement for the junky Apogee batteries that literally swelled up and died.

So far, these batteries have been very good. I find that they are somehow using less power when flying the same plane as the Apogees. I always balance them using the electrifly balancer that they recommended when I bought them off of TowerHobbies. It is a good idea anyways to balance your lipos often.

I typically only use these batteries in my Wattage Pitts or my Great Planes U-can-Do. These are planes that ideally only can use the 1500 mah batteries in them due to weight and power consumtion. I find that the motors I have used respond with even more power now with these batteries. So they really put out the power they claim they have. Their casing appears to be pretty high quality, so the cells are pretty well protected. (as compared to other manufacturers)

More to come in the future, but my recommendation right now would to be purchase these batteries. The prices are cheap and the availablity is good. They perform very well. Buy them from towerhobbies at some point and you won't be dissapointed!
